"I had the absolute pleasure and privilege to work with Clive Newlands between 2011 and 2018. I first got to meet Clive during his time as the south-west regional lead for the High Potential Development Scheme (HPDS) on behalf of the NPIA (now the College of Policing). Clive identified that my coming from a small police service with a unique geographical and political arrangement presented different challenges than those faced by others from larger services in the UK.
